Delivering landmark schemes in the area of Southwark for over 20 years’, Sellar is an award-winning privately-owned property company, located in the heart of Bermondsey. Together, we have created thousands of new jobs and apprenticeships for people in the borough, and are actively contributing to the area’s socioeconomic regeneration.

We’re proud of our fantastic track record, which includes our work on the iconic Shard Quarter in London, delivered in partnership with Renzo Piano. The Shard Quarter is home to The Shard, News UK’s headquarters, and will soon house a residential development, Shard Place. Creating a thriving district was incredibly important to us, and the project saw us deliver a new station concourse, bus station, new offices for LUL and The Retail Arcade.

We’re excited to announce our next project in the area, delivering a complementary scheme that reflects the character and energy of Bermondsey Street. Each day, our employees take in the sights and sounds of Bermondsey. We understand the area, we know what makes it unique, and we are committed to developing the area to attract new retailers, offices and people to the area.

Our planned scheme will boast the same high-quality end product of The Shard, but will showcase the dynamism of Bermondsey. All materials and finishes have been considered, in the same way we delivered a modern architectural  intervention in historic setting  on Borough High Street. The features and design of the offices are in response to what the start-ups, media and tech industries want in their workspace, and our experience developing and operating The Neighbourhood Office on Bermondsey Street since 2014 means it’s an industry we know very well.

But it’s not just about attracting a diverse range of retailers and office workers – it’s also about enhancing the area for local residents, Londoners and the people who visit the Capital.  The area will be feature  a new pedestrian route from Bermondsey Street to Weston Street, the beloved Horseshoe Inn pub will be refurbished, and there will be lanes for exploring and spaces to relax in.

London is a diverse city, full of juxtapositions, and London Bridge and Bermondsey are evidence of this. We are proud of what we delivered at Shard Quarter and we are excited to play a key role in developing and enhancing the area of Bermondsey.
